Best Friend Day 1 || Lauren 2014

At the end of August, Best Friend (Lauren) came for a visit.
She was only here for a few days and you may or may not have seen the vlog that I have all ready uploaded about her visit.
Over the next couple weeks I am going to be sharing some photos and stories with you guys.

Lauren and I met when I was eight days old.  Basically, we were womb buddies.  She’s never really moved.  She grew up in the town I was essentially born in, married, and now owns a house.  I, on the other hand, have lived a lot of places, and she has come to see me multiple times at almost every new home.  She is the best vacation buddy and is always down for a good time.  She was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding and still sends me a birthday present every year.  I don’t know what I would do without her in my life.

Lauren arrived late on Thursday night. We took the next day pretty easy and headed to the mall half way through the morning. I took her to the “fancy” mall where I can’t afford anything in the half of the stores. We found ourselves in Forever 21 soon enough and I bought some staples for the up and coming fall season. I then introduced Lauren to Lush.
If you guys haven’t heard of Lush, here you go. You’re missing out. It is a lifestyle over here in California, and it seems in other places as well. All of the products and cosmetics (bath bombs, face masks, shampoos, lotions, etc) are organic, fresh, and hand made. For me, Lush is more of a luxury item that I will buy for gifts. I mean, who doesn’t love a fizzy bath bomb that makes you smell like a sparkly angel?
After an overwhelming and satisfying introduction to Lush, we stopped and got some salad for lunch before we peaced out of there.
Lauren spent the evening with an old friend from back home, so I stayed home and took some blog photos and caught up on work. When Lauren got back, we made a night run to the grocery store (you do that on Friday nights too, right?) and then drove around to take a peak at the night life. I live by the beach where there are plenty of bars and clubs. AKA, there is zero parking, a lot of cops, and some very entertaining happenings. We then came home and watched some Vampire Diaries. I took it upon myself to introduce Lauren to the show and am pleased to report that it was a success! She loves it. AND she loves Stefan. That’s my girl!

Next time I will write about Day 2, which includes zero parking, swimming, and antiquing!
