At the end of August, Best Friend (Lauren) came for a visit.
She was only here for a few days and you may or may not have seen the vlog that I have all ready uploaded about her visit.
Over the next couple weeks I am going to be sharing some photos and stories with you guys.
Lauren and I met when I was eight days old. Basically, we were womb buddies. She’s never really moved. She grew up in the town I was essentially born in, married, and now owns a house. I, on the other hand, have lived a lot of places, and she has come to see me multiple times at almost every new home. She is the best vacation buddy and is always down for a good time. She was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding and still sends me a birthday present every year. I don’t know what I would do without her in my life.
Day 2 sort of started out as a fail for us. We got up, got ready for the beach, and then struggled a bit to find coffee. Coffee is 100% a must in the morning. Neither of us drink a lot of Starbucks on our own, but when together it is our fuel!
Also, isn’t Lauren’s rental car nice? I was obsessed with the bluetooth.
There was absolutely NO parking anywhere at the beach. We tried two different beaches and were unsuccessful. A little bummed, we decided to instead spend the day at my parents’ because they have a really nice pool, but also because for Lauren to not see the famjam while she’s here would be a crime.
Did you get enough car pictures, Jamie?
After enjoying the pool and sunshine for a while, we popped off to downtown Escondido to explore its many antique shops. There is a giant antique “mall” there where people can rent out booths to sell their things. It seems never ending and each little pocket has something new and amazing to discover
We then went back to my mom and dad’s for dinner and an evening fire, followed by a trip to the three story Target inside one of our local malls. We finished off the night back at my place with some snacks and, of course, Vampire Diaries.
Until next time,
