I’m back! After an unintentional half-hiatus due to the break in, I have replaced some things and can now return to you! My heart is full from this Christmas, but more on that later. Let us travel back in time to Thanksgiving with my parents.

My parents came for a little over a week around Thanksgiving time. It was really nice to spend some holiday time with them. I took an extra day off for Thanksgiving and enjoyed a five day weekend, which was glorious. I felt so rested afterwards.

I got to show off a little bit for my parents what I had learned in my photography class. I also did what my mom had been suggesting I do for months–make greeting cards out of the photos I had taken over the year. I took advantage of black Friday sales to buy the supplies and made several sets as Christmas gifts.

“Poor” Coco learned pretty quickly that my parents don’t appreciate her form of begging while they are cooking in the kitchen. She spent more time outside than this inside-dog is used to. I like to think it builds character.

My beautiful mom.

I was powering through the third book in the Inheritance cycle so I took some time out and read on the hammock for a while. Seriously, way to invest in good things, siblings. The hammock is amazing.

RIP Canon 450D.

This is my lovely family. They are my favorite people in the world. Also, I am very used to how tall Jon is, but sometimes I forget what a GIANT HUMAN BEING HE IS.

Let’s just stop and take a moment to appreciate this super adorable photo of my parents.

We spent the Friday after Thanksgiving decorating the house for Christmas and just enjoying family time. My parents left on Saturday and just three days later our house was broken into. It’s a blessing my parents didn’t have any of their things here to be stolen and that no one was home. Our time with family and the Christmas season was eclipsed by some big things, but if anything it has shown me the hearts of generosity and caring that are around me.
I am excited that one day my parents might not live so far away, but for now I am thankful for the times we get together and the memories that cannot be stolen. I hope you have all had wonderful holiday seasons. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving where you live?

Until next time,
❤
Jamie
