snowmageddon

Snowmageddon.
Storm watch 2016.
Storm Jonas strikes the east coast.

It was legitimately almost nothing to write home about. People stayed home from work and school. There was a smidge of ice on the roads and cold rain.
I still drove to work and stayed a half day, deciding that I didn’t want to get stuck there since the roads were just getting worse.

I spent the rest of my Friday inside, watching it rain and wrapped in a blanket.

Both of the animals were pretty stoked about getting to cuddle on the couch all day.

There was nothing but ice on the ground when we went to bed. On Saturday morning there was a light dusting of snow, and by the time I got out there it was almost completely gone. The rest of the upper east coast got absolutely hammered with feet of snow. Cars were completely buried. I think that all of east North Carolina would roll over and die if that happened here. Inland, and even more north of where we are got much more snow than us.

Despite this adorable amount of snow, it was still really cold. I knew multiple people whose power was out for over twenty-four hours. Luckily we kept our power and didn’t have to be anywhere so we had a nice, relaxing weekend at home.

When Polly was a young kitty and there was no dog in her house, she used to climb inside Kasey and Jon’s shirts all of the time to keep warm.

I am crossing my fingers for one more snow (at least) before spring rolls in. I can’t believe we’re already a week through February. Calm down, time! Going slow is okay!

I’ll be back on Wednesday with my January iPhone life.

Until next time,
❀
Jamie
