Spring Old Navy Haul

I haven’t shopped at Old Navy in years.  I became obsessed with Forever 21 around 2009 and haven’t branched out much since.

They recently opened an Old Navy in the mall by my mom so we finally went to check it out and I got a few really cute new pieces!

The tank top cost $2.50 and I got a medium.

I next got a cute sweater that I think was 10 or 12 dollars.  It is a lightweight, 3-quarter sleeve that is perfect for spring at the beach in southern California!  I got a petite small.

My favorite piece is my new anchor dress!  This piece was full price, but my shopaholic self could not walk away!  It was $25 and is a small.

Imperfections

Imperfections make you human, but they don’t define you.

Style Saturday || My Week in Outfits

I must have changed my outfit four times on Sunday, it was SO HOT.  I also usually spend the day at my parents’ so it was odd to have a day at home.  But here is what I settled on.

Shirt: Macy’s

I really had a need for comfort on Monday.  In retrospect, this outfit is very boxy.  It doesn’t give a lot of shape.  The tank top is loose fitting and so is the maxi skirt.  If I had added a belt around my waist or a loose boyfriend sweater it probably would have worked better.

The weather was hot again on this day so I decided on a simple sun dress.  I added a belt for some interest and a boyfriend sweater to make the outfit as a whole less figure hugging.

In true beach fashion, it was a lot more cloudy and windy this day, so I broke out a favorite long sleeve Tee from this winter.  It is loose fitting, comfortable, and still flattering.  I added a bright tank top for a little length and because the long sleeve is slightly sheer.  I wore skinny jeans on the bottom to add more tailoring because the top is loose fitting.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SWEATER.  I wear it at least once a week.  It was a little warm for sweaters this day but I did not care!  Again, I’m really into loose fitting tops lately, and it is hard to get me out of my jeggings.  The two structures work well together because when you lose shape on top you need to maintain shape on the bottom.  This way, you show that you have a figure.

I have been searching for floral pants for at least a year.  The top isn’t my favorite, but I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to wear this day.  I tend to stay away from short sleeve t-shirts but my mom and I went for a long walk this day so I guess it is okay to sacrifice a little fashion for comfort. ;]

This was my nail polish of choice for the week.  It is Essie in “tart deco.”  Perfect for spring!
